Coffee cupping is the official, industry standard process for tasting coffees. Cupping is used to assess tastes and aromas of coffees during sourcing and roasting. We'll start the class by fine tuning our sensory organs - smelling common items to prepare for the finesse of coffee tasting. We will then take you step by step through the cupping process - smelling, breaking the crust and slurping some of our current coffee offerings. We'll show you how we use a tasters flavor wheel to assist us in picking out notes every time we welcome a new coffee to our shop. You'll leave this class better prepared to pick out all the delicious notes that can be found in a single, flavor-complex cup of coffee.
